What is OpenPhotoBooth?
OpenPhotoBooth is a project to create an open source application suite for creating cheap and easy photo booths, such as those you would find in a mall.
We want to avoid putting limitations on OpenPhotoBooth, so you don't have to get a computer just for it, or buy expensive hardware to use it. You can just run it on your regular home computer or laptop using a consumer grade webcam.
How can I get it?
OpenPhotoBooth is absolutely free, as in freedom and as in lunch. Go to the download page and grab a copy.
If the software is too limited or restrictive for you, feel free to request features and fixes! If creating and running your own booth sounds too hard, consider renting/borrowing a booth (see below).
What if I just want to use a booth?
OpenPhotoBooth maintains a directory of vendors using OpenPhotoBooth on the rental page. Feel free to contact them and see what it costs to use their equipment, often it's less than you think!
What if I want to create and rent a booth?
Go for it! OpenPhotoBooth is licensed under the MIT License and we encourage you to use it commercially. It's not feasible for everyone to make their own booth, so feel free to rent or lend your creation out once you've made it! We will be happy to list your contact details on our rentals page, just get in touch.
